Microneedling is a nonsurgical, minimally invasive technique that uses fine needles from dermal rollers or microneedling pens to create tiny puncture in the skin, stimulating the body's natural healing process and boosting collagen and elastin production. This technique is used to treat various skin problems including wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, and cellulite. There is mild benefit to microneedling alone, however, results are more pronounced when using a biologically active compound that is applied to the skin during the treatment and driven below the skin by the fine needles.
Consultation is required which includes a discussion and evaluation of your medical history and aesthetics concerns. Topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment areas and removed after 20min. The face is cleansed and disinfected. The compound is applied to the skin and microneedling at various depths. The appropriate depth will cause the skin to bleed slightly, but not too appreciably. There will be redness that may last 1-2 days. You may apply CO2 Lift Pro to expedite healing and to improve outcomes. The product is sold separately. Depending on the areas treated, the procedure takes 45-60 minutes after appropriate numbing has been achieved. There is mild discomfort during the procedure
Do not wash the face until the following morning. You may apply CO2 Lift Pro to expedite healing and to improve outcomes. The product is sold separately. You may use moisturizer and SPF sunscreen the following day. Avoid using particulate creams, lotions, and makeup for 2 days.
As with any aesthetic medical procedure, ideal candidates are generally healthy, nonsmokers with mild to moderate age-related changes. Consultation is necessary to discuss anticipated outcomes based on your medical history and presentation. Please contact the office to schedule an appointment.
